The second issue of 2026 of the Baltic Transport Journal features an article entitled “Towards advanced maritime fuel cells” focusing on the objectives and expected outcomes of the MiNaMi project.
Highlighting the potential of fuel cells as promising alternatives to conventional combustion engines for the decarbonization of the maritime sector, the article presents MiNaMi’s work on developing a megawatt-scale PEM fuel cell system for maritime use, with a strong focus on durability. It also outlines how the project’s expected outcomes will contribute to strengthening European fuel cell manufacturing and stimulating innovation across both the hydrogen and maritime value chains.
